About the 2018 Conference 

The 2018 flagship conference of the Indo-German Young Leaders Forum will be held in early 2018 in New Delhi. 50 selected 'Young Leaders' from both countries will face a host of high-profile guest speakers, panel discussions, and workshops on topics which address the most pressing issues of today, and which help to successfully guide bi-lateral relations in the years to come.

The conference is envisaged to be a festival of ideas, with enriching discussions and interesting speeches. In addition to the formal sessions, participants are also given the opportunity to interact in an informal atmosphere, be it on a guided tour through New Delhi or over cocktails after a long day of discussions.

The preliminary program includes the following:

Day 0
Arrival & informal get-together
Day 1
Opening event, incl. key note speeches & panel discussions
Site-visits to local training centers, start-up incubators, manufacturing facilities, etc. in small groups
Evening reception
Day 2
Keynote speeches, followed by workshops on topics related to the site-visits
Lunch reception followed by a plant tour at a selected industry partner
Evening reception
Day 3
Continuation of workshops related to site-visits
Evening reception
Day 4
Group presentations of workshop outcomes during farewell brunch
Closing session


Young Leaders - Who are we looking for? 

We are looking forward to welcoming some of the most promising high-potentials from both countries to the conference.

The selection committee, under the guidance of the Board of Trustees, is selecting highly motivated individuals from India and Germany based on the following criteria:
1. Proven leadership potential, from all domains
2. Between the age of 25 and 35 with a strong interest in fostering Indo-German relations
3. Possession of a clear vision to further develop Indo-German relations post the event
